CEO of Smart Energy Group
Sergei Glazunov was appointed CEO of Smart Energy Group in February 2016. Prior to that, from October 2014, he held the position of Smart-Holding’s Chief Investment Officer.
He joined Smart-Holding in 2010 as the corporate development director. In 2011, he became the CFO of Smart Energy Group and held that office until December 2013 when he was installed as the acting CEO of Smart Energy.
2007 – 2009 – deputy CEO at Concern Avec & Co (Kharkiv, Ukraine).
2005 – 2007 – vice president at the investment banking business of JP Morgan Chase (New York, USA).
2000 – 2004 – senior analyst and head of investment performance measurement group (from 2002) at the investment management business of Bank One Corporation (Detroit, USA).
Starting in 1993, Mr. Glazunov was actively engaged in scientific research and teaching activities, including various roles at Institute of Mathematics (Kiev, Ukraine), Michigan State University (East Lansing, USA), Wayne State University (Detroit, USA) and National Transport University (Kiev, Ukraine). He has a number of publications in academic periodicals of Ukraine, Europe and USA.
He is also CEO of Enwell Energy plc.
Education
Graduated from Kiev State University (Ukraine), department of mechanics and mathematics, in 1992.
Earned the Master of Science degree in Statistics from Michigan State University (East Lansing, USA) in 1998.
Earned the MBA degree from Wayne State University (Detroit, USA) in 2000.
CFA Charterholder since 2003.
