Zaporozhnerudprom (Zaporozhye City) continues consistent building up of its output and shipment capacities. In 2012, the company increased its output by 34% or 247,000 tonnes as compared to the same period in 2011 (up to 976,000 tonnes). The company’s sales rose by 43% or 301,000 tonnes, i.e. up to 1,008,000 tonnes in the same period.

At the same time, export of the company’s products grew up by 90% or 245,000 tonnes vs. the same period in 2011 (up to 517,000 tonnes) amounting to more than 50% of the total output.

The company’s investment into the purchase of new equipment and regular overhauls of production capacities totalled UAH 3.1 million, which is more than double from 2011. Thus, the scope of 2012 investment program covered the capital overhaul of the KSD 2200 crusher, installation of the new GISL 62-2 sieve and capital overhaul of the GISL 62 sieve, including the case replacement, installation of the MT 3M metal detector, capital overhaul of the running gear of B10M #2 bulldozer, capital overhaul of BelAZ #7 dump truck, capital overhaul of the engine of Amkodor forklift truck, overhaul of process line 1 for the macadam production, and the transition to the use of ‘1C: Enterprise 8’ software.

Apart from that, the company switched to the 4-shift operation mode in 2 macadam production process lines under the program for production and sales development in the markets of Ukraine and the Russian Federation developed jointly with Smart-Nerudprom, to secure the required amount of produce to deliver on the contracts entered into by the company’s commercial function.

Effective marketing policy focused on the Russian Federation secured long-term export contracts for our company. At the same time, we are working to bring in new Ukrainian customers interested in purchasing our products on a regular basis. For instance, we made an agreement and started macadam supplies to our new partner, Zaporozhstal, in August 2012,’ said Sergey Verkhovskiy, Chairman of the Management Board of Zaporozhnerudprom.

According to the data of the ‘League of the Best’ international economic rating, Zaporozhnerudprom ranked 5th among Ukraine’s enterprises and 1st in Zaporozhye region (among companies with 100-500 employees) in ‘Sand and gravel production’ business category (KVED code 14.21.0) and won the ‘ENTERPRISE OF YEAR 2012’ award. Sergey Verkhovskiy, Chairman of the Management Board at Zaporozhnerudprom, became the MANAGER OF THE YEAR IN UKRAINE and was awarded the ‘LEADER OF UKRAINIAN ECONOMY’ order.
