Amstor Retail Chain to Terminate Agreements with Employees Absent from Work

19.01.2015

Smart-Holding, the main shareholder of Amstor Group, is going to terminate the labour agreements with the retailer’s employees staying away from their workplaces without valid excuses.

In particular, the retail chain’s management company issued administrative orders demanding that accountants and employees accountable for assets come back to their workplaces before 9:00 a.m. on 20 January. The company points out that this is required to control availability of commodities and valuables and prepare the payslips.

‘If you continue to stay away from work, it will be regarded as violation of the labour legislation and threaten payment of wages to average employees that has already been delayed,’ says the company’s announcement published on Monday, 19 January.

The company points out that its owner reserves the right to terminate labour agreements with the persons that fail to return to their workplaces by that time in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 4, Part 1, Article 40 of the Labour Code of Ukraine (absence without leave).
