ChSY Finished First Quarter with Best Production Results In Last Couple of Years

12.04.2016

In the first quarter of the current year, Chernomorsky Shipbuilding Yard overhauled and handed over to the customer three river-sea ships: CHELSEA-5, FURY and ROSCHEM-2. Overall, 133 tonnes of the ships’ metal were replaced, which is 13 times as much as in the same period of 2015. In addition to that, the enterprise produced some machine-building products and carried out cargo transhipment.

As Alexandr Ostapenko, the General Director of ChSY, said, three repaired ships had already left the yard’s water area. Currently, the sea trials of Olshansky tugboat repaired by ChSY are ending and it will soon be delivered to the customer.

The work on Chelsea-5 ship was of the greatest complexity – the vessel had to be driven inside the dock and erected on mainstay of the dock in hard weather conditions – in frost and severe icing. However, the Nikolayev shipbuilders have perfectly done the task.

Currently, the work on CHELSEA-3, CHELSEA-6 and MODUS ships is on the way. The company expects two more ships to arrive in the near future for a package of ship repair operations.
