27.04.2017

ANDRE MICHEL1 coastal vessel with a deadweight of 1,600 tonnes of Ship Management Support B.V. (Klundert, the Netherlands) has been delivered to Kherson Shipyard of Smart Maritime Group for repair.

The scope of the work will include repair of hatch covers, painting and checking of the engine room mechanisms. According to the preliminary estimate, 20-25 tonnes of the ship's metal need to be replaced.

"The capacity of Kherson Shipyard allows us to provide a much wider scope of ship repair services, however, in the situation when the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is banned in Ukraine, when we forecast about UAH 140 million in losses per year, any contract is a big plus for our work," Vasiliy Fedin, the CEO of Smart Maritime Group, commented on the new contract.
