Kirill Chebunin Appointed Strategy and Investment Director of Smart Holding

The Strategy and Investment Directorate of Smart Holding has been headed by Kirill Chebunin who worked in similar positions with international companies before joining Smart Holding.

The Directorate will be responsible for shaping the Group’s investment strategy, searching for new business development areas, investment analysis and implementation of M&A transactions, as well as supporting Smart Holding’s businesses within the strategic and investment function.

From 2017 to 2021, Kirill Chebunin held the post of Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development at the investment holding group AFK Sistema (Russian Federation). Prior to that, from 2008 to 2017, he worked as a director, and then as a managing director for portfolio strategy of the same holding company.

From 2004 to 2007, Kirill Chebunin worked in executive positions at the representative office of Nokia in Russia. He started his career as a product manager with HUAWEI Technologies.

Kirill Chebunin graduated from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) majoring in Financial Management. In 2008, he received an MBA from INSEAD Business School (France/Singapore). In 2016, he completed the leadership program at Harvard Business School (USA).
