The UOC and Vadym Novynskyi Charitable Foundation have already handed over 14 ambulances to Zaporizhia

10.08.2022

On August 9, 2022, 5 ambulances, which were purchased in the countries of the European Union by Vadym Novynskyi Charitable Foundation, arrived in Zaporizhia. The cars were handed over to the townspeople by Metropolitan Luka of Zaporizhia and Melitopol, who consecrated them near the Holy Intercession Cathedral.

In April, 9 cars were donated as humanitarian aid to the Territorial Medical Association "Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine" of Zaporizhia Regional Council. In total, Zaporizhia received 14 ambulances from Vadym Novynskyi Foundation.

On August 9, the handover of cars took place on the Memorial Day of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon. Metropolitan Luka of Zaporizhia and Melitopol emphasized the importance of the charity project in this difficult time for the country:

"I have a doctor`s diploma," Bishop Luka reminded. - Let's imagine I have certain knowledge, but I don't have any tools at hand. Can I cure the sick? And if it is far from me and I don't have transport?

That is why the ambulances that Zaporizhia health care facilities received today are very important. When all factors are combined - a qualified doctor, modern equipment and good transport – that will sum up into a result!

I would like to thank Father Vadym Novynskyi`s Charitable Foundation for the help. Let me remind you that this joint project with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is implemented in many regional centers and cities of the country. Our Primate Onuphrius blessed it.

Earlier, Dmytro Sergeev, Director of Novynskyi Foundation, stated that the goal of the Foundation is to deliver at least 100 cars to Ukraine. 81 cars have already been imported into the country. Dozens of machines arrived at hospitals in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Kremenchuk, Vinnytsia, volunteer organizations "Life Saving Center", "Dniprovets", one of the ambulances works in the Sumy region, 2 machines were transferred to Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery for the formation of mobile brigades, one car went to Siverska hromada.

The total amount allocated by Vadym Novynskyi for humanitarian projects after February 24 has exceeded UAH 700 million.
