Introduction of sanctions (regardless of whether they are legally applied to a citizen of Ukraine or not) should deprive the aggressor state of resources, instead of harming the State of Ukraine, its economy and citizens. With this message Ukrgazvydobutok company from Smart Energy Group appealed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Social Policy in connection with the ongoing deterioration of negative consequences caused by suspension of the special permit for production of hydrocarbons at Ostroverkhivske field owned by the company.

Smart Energy Group, facilities of which are located in Kharkiv and Poltava provinces, has provided 50 mln UAH of charitable aid since the beginning of russian aggression, of which almost 46 mln UAH went for support of the Armed Forces and Territorial Defence.

Due to suspension of special permits of private gas production companies Ukrgazvydobutok and Prom-Energo Product of Smart Energy Group for hydrocarbons production at Ostroverkhivske and Vasyschivske fields, the State and local budgets have already lost almost 110 million UAH, and the energy system – 12.4 million m³ of gas. Unless operation of companies is resumed in the near future, by the end of 2023 alone the State will have lost another 1.3 billion UAH of taxes and 135 million m³ of gas.

LLC Arkona Gas-Energy, which is Ukrainian asset of public British company Enwell Energy and part of Smart Energy Group, for the third time confirmed its legal rights to develop Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske field.

On July 4, 2022, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal issued another decision in favor of Arkona Gas-Energy LLC (hereinafter referred to as Arkona) and recognized the special permit received by the company for the development of Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske field as valid. The court overturned the decision of the first instance and dismissed without consideration the lawsuit of Boryslavska Oil Company LLC, associated with Ukrnafta and Igor Kolomoisky.

Regal Petroleum Corporation Limited from Smart Energy Group has transferred another UAH 1 million to the communities of Poltava region: UAH 900,000 to Lokhvytska and UAH 100,000 to Zavodska, respectively.

The capital investments of Smart Energy Group reached UAH 1.5 billion for 2021, three times as much as the same indicator for 2020 (UAH 0.5 billion).
