Arkona Gas-Energy LLC, a part of Smart Energy Group and an operator of Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske field (Poltava oblast), began research of its field. The works will provide details for locations of the following target wells, planned for the further development of the field.

The CEO of Smart Energy Sergei Glazunov told NV Business about the development and risks for the company, about sales of gas to the population and the influence on the business from its shareholder, MP Vadym Novynskyi.

In Q1, 2021, Smart Energy Group of companies produced cumulatively 95.7 mln m3 of gas and 8.3 Ktonnes of condensate, succeeding to keep the production rate of gas on the level of last year.

British company Enwell Energy plc, a part of Smart Energy group, announced its production and financial audited results for the year 2020. Thus, the company increased its aggregate average daily hydrocarbon production by 6.5%, whereas gross profit considering the drop in gas price during the year, decreased by 15%.

SMART HOLDING (CYPRUS) LTD and INTER GROWTH INVESTMENTS LIMITED have closed the deal for the acquisition of 76,436,210 ordinary shares in KHARKIVOBLENERGO JSC. The share of SMART HOLDING (CYPRUS) LTD in the share capital of both companies is currently 29.7950%.

On February 4, 2021, the Supreme Court of Ukraine confirmed the legitimacy of special permit for production of hydrocarbons at Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske field (Poltava oblast) of Arkona Gas-Energy LLC. The Court’s decision opens a possibility of the field development at full extent for the company and wholly stops these proceedings against it.

For 12M, 2020, the companies of Smart Energy Group paid in total UAH 948.5 mln in taxes, including UAH 430.3 mln fee for subsoil use to the budgets of all levels. Thus, UAH 21.5 mln of subsoil tax were paid to the local budgets.

For 2020 the total production volume by the companies of the Group increased up to 400.6 mln m3 (against 368.8 mln m3 for 2019) for natural gas and up to 34.7 Ktonnes (against 33.1 Ktonnes for 2019) for condensate.
