Under the Decree of the President of Ukraine V.F. Yanukovich of May 29, 2012 Vadim Novinskiy, Chairman of Supervisory Board of Smart-Holding, was granted Ukrainian citizenship.

Member of Ukrainian national stage of international award in the field of IT-development Imagine Cup 2012 – M.D. Team from the National Mining University (the city of Dnepropetrovsk) - will undertake practical training in IT Department of Smart-Holding Company. The team obtained an opportunity to realize its elaboration "eMedіcіne" in practice, designed to simplify and systematise the work of doctors with their patients using cloud information technologies.

On March 22 a.c. a ceremony of laying the keel of the third vessel of tanker-product carrier series of Project RST27 took place at Kherson Shipyard for SVL Group (Malta).

According to the resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders dd. 20 March 2012, changes were made in the composition of the Board of Directors of Smart-Holding. In particular, the Board was expanded up to 6 people.

Sergii Glazunov, the Director of Corporate Development at JSC Smart Holding UA, is appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Regal Petroleum plc in place of Denis Rudev.

Mikhail Zavylov, prior to joining Smart Holding, worked at Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine, where he held various positions in top mananagement team as HR Manager (2002-2005) and Human Resources Director (2005-2011). He also got experience in HR Management at executive positions in companies such as Wimm Bill Dann Ukraine, Procter & Gamble Ukraine Ltd and others.

Smart Holding representatives - Chairman of the Board Vadim Novinskiy and CEO Alexey Pertin - will participate in the 42nd Annual Meeting of World Economic Forum, which will take place in Davos, Switzerland on January 25-29, 2012.

"Balaklava Green project will become a resort of national level and give not only the powerful impulse of tourist development in Sevastopol but also will greatly enhance the tourist potential of Ukraine in general", - stated the director of real estate projects of Smart Holding Sergey Ovcinikov at the International Investment Forum held in September 16-17 in Sevastopol.

On 22 July 2011, three representatives of Smart-Holding were re-elected to the Board of Directors of the British oil and gas company Regal Petroleum plc. at its annual meeting of shareholders.
